By Alison Sieloff

Published on January 11, 2006

Not only does Tony La Russa love to rock, but he also adores pets, and at 6:30 p.m. at the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard), Coach brings his two true loves together with Stars to the Rescue. This event, which supports Tony's ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) and other worthy groups, features performances by trumpeter Chris Botti, Jonathan "Journey" Cain, country rocker Gretchen Wilson, Broadway star Paige Price, funny lady Elayne Boosler and, last but not least, crooner Tony "Not Tampa" Orlando. Tickets for this starry night are $20 to $50 and are available through MetroTix at 314-534-1111 or www.metrotix.com. For more information about La Russa's foundation, visit www.arf.net.
