If your idea of enjoying the classics is watching the first season of The Simpsons or listening to Eric Clapton’s Unplugged, you may be due for a classical revival. We recommend starting with the Bach Society of Saint Louis’ 2007/2008 season opener, Bach! Beethoven! Bravo! The performance begins at 7 p.m. tonight at Saint Francis Xavier College Church at Saint Louis University (3628 Lindell Boulevard) and features Beethoven’s often-underrated masterpiece, Mass in C, and two motets by Bach, plus the chorale cantata A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. Tickets range from $18 to $35. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.bachsociety.org or call 314-652-2224.
