Enon

For ten years, Enon has been stirring a cauldron of electro-clash sonics, sassy vocals and garage-rock spunk. With last year's Touch and Go release, Grass Geysers...Carbon Clouds, the ingredients have stayed consistent, but the resulting potion has never sounded as focused or compelling. Geysers is Enon's best batch of 22nd-century party music to date, with plenty of the musical curveballs you'd expect from their "ex-Brainiac" tagline. In fact, the album might be the closest Enon has sounded to frontman John Schmersal's former musical outfit. However, it's impossible to accuse Schmersal of looking into the past when Enon is so intent on creating a soundtrack to the future.
