All your life you've thought that books were for reading — this isn't entirely true. While most people write these works because they believe (and hope) someone might at least peruse them, books also exist to make your house look smarter, if not you. Check out many, many of these accessories of interior design at the
Greater St. Louis Book Fair (benefiting the Nursery Foundation of St. Louis) and at the
Webster Groves Public Library Book Fair. Both events run Thursday through Sunday (May 1 through 4) and offer free admission every day but on the Thursday preview nights (the first fair will cost you $10 to get in, the other, $7). The inventories are impressive, the causes are great, and you'll definitely be able to find enough tomes to enhance your surroundings
and your mind — plus, these books are priced to move! The Greater St. Louis Book Fair is held at West County Center (Manchester Road and I-270, Des Peres; 314-993-1995 or
www.stlouisbookfair.org), and you'll find Webster's book sale at Yorkshire Plaza (1263 South Laclede Station Road; 314-961-3784 or
wgpl.lib.mo.us).
