Trailnet is pro exercise

You don't mind exercise. Really, you don't. But you're not in love with the places around town set up specifically for working out. Those gyms keep you confined, regimented really, when all you actually want is to be free! Free from weights and machines and earbuds! You want to be outside! So get out there already — specifically, head to Cliff Cave County Park (806 Cliff Cave Road) on the third Wednesday of each month through August. There, thanks to Trailnet, the Great Rivers Greenway District and the Saint Louis County Parks, you can keep fit and cave it, hike it or bike it from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The walk and the bike ride are free, and each offers a five-mile route. Exploring Cliff Cave — and its spring! — costs $5 and requires advance registration at 636-391-0912, extension 28. Learn more at www.trailnet.org.
Third Wednesday of every month. Starts: May 21. Continues through Aug. 20, 2008
