It doesn't get much closer to true New York-style pizza around these parts than it does at Racanelli’s, a family-owned business founded by a former brood of Bronx residents. The crusts are thin, and the pizzas are sold by the pie or slice. The sauce is just a little sweet, the crust just a little salty, the teenage service just a little surly. Even better than the pies are the calzones -- positively oozing with mozzarella and ricotta goodness, they’re not even this ravishing in the Big Apple. For transplanted East Coasters craving a culinary hit of home, Racanelli’s wares will take your taste buds back there.
