Art Attack: Condition Critical

You and your family may have survived Halloween, but tonight some area art is headed straight to the gallows -- and only you can save it. Art Attack, an auction to benefit KDHX (88.1-FM), pits pairs of paintings against each other in five elimination rounds. While the work receiving the best audience response (as ascertained by the Applause-O-Meter) moves on to the next round, the fate of the losing painting is left to the Wheel of Misfortune, which results in any number of nasty endings for painting (chainsaw, samurai sword, etc). And that's where you come in: Audience members can bid on the endangered piece to save it. The money raised helps KDHX continue its mission to save radio from its baser instincts, so bid accordingly. Art Attack starts at 7 p.m. at Plush (3224 Locust Street; www.kdhx.org); admission is $15, and includes an afterparty with DJ Needles.
