Monday Night Mirth

From your Monday morning vantage point, everything is uphill. You haven't put a dent in your 40 hours yet, that pile of urgent crap on your desk is as tall as a five-year-old and the weekend is so far away ... so very far away. Take heart, campers. Every Monday night you can Laugh Out Loud at Lola, the local comedy show hosted by Darius Bradford; and Monday night is much closer in time and space than Friday is. The show begins at 8 p.m., but Lola (500 North 14th Street; 314-621-7277 or www.welovelola.com) opens at 4 p.m., so if you slip out early you can grab dinner and a cocktail before the place fills up. There's a $10 cover for the show, but that's a small price to pay for easing into your week.
