U.S. Women's National Soccer Team

While hobbits' big feet would make them ideal soccer players, it may come as a surprise that New Zealand has no National Hobbit Soccer team. However, the country's top human players arrive in St. Louis to take on the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team for a feet-first free-for-all in advance of the FIFA Women's World Cup this June. New Zealand's Football Ferns are the opponents in the WNST's first home game of 2015, which also marks their Busch Stadium debut and will go down in history as just the third soccer match ever played at the venue. Additionally, the U.S. team's roster boasts not one, but two St. Louis natives, Becky Sauerbrunn and Lori Chalupny, and they promise to let their feet do the talking.

2:30 p.m. Sat., Apr. 4. Busch Stadium (700 Clark Avenue; 314-345-9600 or www.stlcardinals.com/soccer). $33 to $128.
