212 N Kingshighway Blvd., Central West End; 314-633-3056
If you're not quite ready for Four Seasons' prices, but you still want an elegant buffet in a grand old hotel, the Chase Park Plaza's Thanksgiving brunch extravaganza includes an extensive buffet of seafood, charcuterie, salads, fresh fruits and artisan cheeses, carved meats, gourmet sides, pastries and desserts. The full menu is available here. Reservations are required. Adults pay $67 each, plus tax and gratuity, while children ages five through twelve are $28 each.

7. J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood
17 A102 W County Ctr., Des Peres; 314-965-4600
This Thanksgiving, West County Center staple J. Gilbert's is serving a 3-course dinner featuring turkey and your choice of an appetizer and dessert. As with many other restaurants on our list, children eat for half price — it's $38 for adults and $19 for kids age 12 and under. J. Gilbert's will also be serving its regular steak and seafood menu for those not inclined to feast on turkey and mashed potatoes.

8. McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood
17 A101 W County Ctr., Des Peres; 314-835-1300
Located right next door to J. Gilbert's, McCormick & Schmick's will be offering a varied Thanksgiving menu, including roasted turkey, a choice of butternut squash bisque or walnut mixed greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread stuffing, seasonal vegetables, apple squash casserole and cranberry sauce. Families in particular may take a liking to McCormick & Schmick's offer, which lets kids twelve and under eat for just $9.99. Adult meals are $24.99, with tax and gratuity not included. Also, unlike many restaurants that close by early evening, this one promises to be open all the way until 10 p.m.

9. The Restaurant at the Cheshire
7036 Clayton Ave., Richmond Heights; 314-932-7818
Adults: $55, Children 5-12: $15, Children 4 and under: Free
The acclaimed restaurant at the landmark Cheshire Hotel is offering a Thanksgiving buffet. While we don't know the details, with this restaurant, you can count on it being good. Adults pay $55 each, with kids five through twelve costing $15 each.

10. Ruth’s Chris Steak House
315 Chestnut St., downtown; 314-259-3200
1 N Brentwood Blvd., Suite 150, Clayton; 314-783-9900
Ruth's Chris Steak House's Thanksgiving meals include a choice of three starters; a turkey entree with gravy, sausage and herb stuffing and cranberry relish; a choice of three sides; and pumpkin cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. Adult prices vary slightly, depending on the dishes chosen, from $39.95 to $41.95, while kids eat for $12.95.

And finally, if you're looking for something really different this year for Thanksgiving, the Innsbrook Resort — Aspen Center (1 Aspen Lake Dr., Innsbrook;
636-928-3366) is offering a buffet including oven-roasted herb & garlic turkey, peach bourbon BBQ glazed ham, a mashed potato bar including both regular and sweet potatoes, and a dessert station. With prices just $28 per plate for adults and $14 for kids ages six through twelve, it may be worth your time — and money — to take a little road trip and enjoy rural Missouri.
