Report: City Gourmet Closes Today

Evan Benn of the Post-Dispatch filed the scoop yesterday afternoon: Downtown grocery store City Gourmet will close for good at the end of business today. Longtime fans and opportunistic bargain hunters can enjoy closeout discounts, including on beer and wine, until then.

City Gourmet opened at 920 Olive Street in 2004 as City Grocers. In 2009, after Schnucks opened Culinaria nearby, it rebranded itself as City Gourmet.
