Mama Campisi's

One of the many Italian options on the Hill, Mama Campisi's serves up St. Louis-style classics and, in fact, takes credit for originating one particular St. Louis fave: T-ravs. Legend has it that a chef accidentally dropped a ravioli order in hot oil rather than hot water, and the rest is history. Diners can also choose from Mama's cheese sticks (made with Provel), veal, chicken, fish and steak options, or, for those with healthy appetites, go for Mama's Pasta Challenge. Ambitious eaters feast on a bowl of spaghetti topped with a two-pound meatball. If you finish it, Mama foots the bill for the pasta. Traditional pasta dishes round out the menu.
