North Oaks Bowl

With 64 lanes, fitting in a couple games of bowling at North Oaks Bowl shouldn't be a problem. But the area’s largest alley is also one of its busiest, and you can expect at least half of those lanes to be occupied even on a weekday afternoon, when most other alleys aren’t even open. Other than its absurd popularity, North Oaks is a pretty typical bowling alley. Shoe rental is $2.75 and game prices are $2.75, or $3.50 in the evening. There’s a wacky neon bowling pin mural above the lanes and some pretty low drop ceilings, as well as a simple bar and snack counter and coin-operated pool tables. Notable is a separate and recently updated bar and dart room, which also features “Soulful Ol’ School Sundays” with a DJ and drink specials on Sunday nights.
