Rockin' Gators

The bayou has been recreated at the busy intersection of Gravois and MacKenzie roads in Affton. Inside the small white brick building is a well-lit, open room where Harley riders and karaoke performers alike will feel comfortable. Giant alligators in all forms line the walls, bar back and menu, including a huge stuffed one above the karaoke speakers, clearly there to lend support to the amateur performers rocking out three nights a week. The bar stools are often taken up by customers filling their stomachs with Cajun fare from the small-but-mighty kitchen, which churns out specials full of seafood and gator. There's gator tail, a gator brat and gator jambalaya, as well as shrimp, lobster quesadillas and fried scallops. Wash it all down with one of the three beers on tap; everything else (bottles and cans) is kept cold in a backyard tub, filled with ice.
