Horror goofballs GWAR just announced a 2011 fall tour, and it includes a stop at Pop's. The Return Of The World Maggot tour comes to Sauget on November 1st, with Every Time I Die and either Ghoul or Warbeast opening.
GWAR's most recent album, 2010's Bloody Pit Of Horror, would seem to be the impetus for this tour except that there are few bands for which albums are less relevant. It's all about the spectacle, and given the tour's name, we assume the quartet will once again be touring with the World Maggot, a character from its 1994 album This Toilet Earth.
Details like ticket price and show time haven't been announced yet. But you pretty much know what you're getting here: People will laugh, people will scream, people will get covered in blood. Get pumped by watching the World Maggot eat "Jerry Springer," below.
