Ice-T Makes Video Supporting Metro East Animal Shelter, Remains a Badass

Madison County's the Catty Shack has become something of a celebrity magnet lately. Just recently, the cat shelter had the Greatest Man in the Universe, Bill Murray, posing with one of its t-shirts.

And now it's being repped online by none other than Tracy Lauren Marrow a.k.a. Odafin "Fin" Tutuola a.k.a. Mr. Body Count a.k.a. Ice-muggafuggin-T.

The rapper, actor and husband to the most glamorous woman on the planet posted a video praising the cat shelter in tiny Hamel, Illinois, for all of the hard work it does to protect and provide for innocent animals.

He recorded this PSA not only because he has a heart of gold, but because the Catty Shack recently hosted a kitty named after the entertainer.

T kept it real in the clip, saying in his signature no-nonsense voice, “I like dogs, but really I love all animals. But if you’re into cats, this is something you should get involved with, all right?”

The Catty Shack is a project born out of love for feral felines. Years ago Catty Shack operator Sarah Shipton found out that some feral cats she’d been feeding were being poisoned, so she turned her yard into a cat sanctuary, complete with a fancy kitty house and cat-proof fence to keep adoptees safe while she vets, spays/neuters them and finds them a new home.

Her spot is an oasis from the horrors of life on the street for cats who haven’t yet been lucky enough to find a forever home.

If you, like, Ice-T, would like to help the shelter out but not necessarily bring a cat home with you, the Catty Shack accepts donations here.
