Ms. Lauryn Hill & The Fugees wrote an apologetic note to fans today. Well, apologetic to some.

Just three shows into the tour honoring the 25th anniversary of her debut solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,  Hill postponed a concert scheduled for tomorrow in Philadelphia, writing on Instagram that it was to rest her voice and prevent further damage to her vocal cords. Hill expressed disappointment in the cancellation she made at the advice of her physicians and promised she'd come to Philadelphia for "a special one" at a later date.

"I look forward to giving you the show you deserve with a fully recovered and healthy voice," Hill wrote.
But there was one thing missing from Hill's message that fans in St. Louis were quick to notice: Philadelphia's concert was rescheduled at the same date Hill and company was supposed to perform in St. Louis — and the show at Enterprise Center has been cancelled.

"Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict, Ms. Lauryn Hill and The Fugees will have to cancel their tour stop in St. Louis, originally scheduled for November 25 at Enterprise Center," the concert's listing on Enterprise Center's website reads. "Ms. Hill will try to reschedule a new date in 2024."

Hill apparently has a history of flaking out of concerts. In 2020, the "Killing Me Softly With His Song" singer showed up to a concert in Pittsburgh three hours late and promised another show for ticket-holders at half off the price, but the show never happened due to a "scheduling conflict." That same year, the artist also postponed a concert in Louisville, only to cancel the make-up show a few days before the date.

But Hill's shenanigans seem to pale in comparison to that of her bandmates.

Wyclef Jean, a third of the Fugees trio that includes Hill and rapper Pras Michel, was accused of using a foundation he set up for Haitian earthquake victims to benefit himself and others in his close circle in 2012.

As for Michel, in April, he was found guilty for conspiring to help the Chinese government and a Malaysian businessman gain access to the U.S. government. In a recent demand for a retrial, NBC News reports that Michel's new counsel argued his former lead defense lawyer botched his closing argument by using AI to write it.

With a third of her trio seemingly on his way to prison, we aren't holding out too much hope that Ms. Hill will make her way to St. Louis any time soon.
