The Queers

Much has changed in punk rock over the past 30 years, but the only thing to change with the Queers is its lineup. The entity known as the Queers is still goofy, still irreverent and still using a gay joke as a band name. Perhaps the most remarkable trait of the New Hampshire trio's upcoming visit to Fubar is the complete lack of purpose. There is no new album to promote and no sentimental anniversary to celebrate. The reason for the Queers to tour in 2013 is the same reason the band had to tour in 1983: For the love of good, sloppy, parent-hating fun.

Opening Act: Italian quartet the Manges has pop-punk cred: former Queers bassist Phillip Hill produced its album Go Down and Screeching Weasel covers the band's song "I Will Always Do."
