The old Faiground Park pool was more like a small lake.
So it is today that all three public swimming pools in St. Louis officially open for business, if you can call it that. Unlike in past years, this year admission to the pools is free for city residents.
The pools are located at Fairground Park (north city), Marquette Park (south city) and Chambers Park (Midtown). Hours are generally noon to 6 p.m. every day of the week.
