In the first incident, an 18-year-old black male was driving north on North Florissant Road near Madison Street around 6 p.m. when an unknown white vehicle pulled up behind them and opened fire. The young man was shot in the back of the head; his friends drove him to the nearest hospital where he's now in stable condition.
The second incident occurred at 6:45 p.m. in O'Fallon Park. A 20-year-old black male was in his car, waiting for traffic. A burgundy Pontiac Grand Prix expelled several black men who shot up his car, wounding the driver in the arm, back and head. Amazingly, he was able to drive away, and got to a safe place where a friend then drove him to the hospital. He, too, is in stable condition.
The third shooting took place at 12:44 a.m. in the 1300 block of Cass Avenue, just blocks north of the first shooting. Two 21-year-old black men were exiting a convenience store lot when a dark red Ford truck slipped behind them and sprayed their vehicle with gunfire. Neither man was injured, but a third man who was gassing up his own car on the lot was shot once in the thigh. He's also stable in a local hospital.
In all three cases, the suspects are unknown and the investigation is ongoing. Keep your heads down tonight, St. Louis.
