Dancers Showed Out at Maven Logik Lee's 'TENS' at the Handlebar

On Sunday, Handlebar (4127 Manchester Avenue, 314-652-2212, handelbarstl.com) played host to Maven Logik Lee’s "TENS," a celebration of underground Ball culture that blends music, dance, rapping and culture.

The event was themed after the 1990s television sketch show In Living Color and everyone was encouraged to wear their best retro threads.

Competitors were voguing, breakdancing, and doing runway walks for the judges. Vanessa Frost performed high-energy rhymes and Rico Steel and Luvrboi kept the night going with eclectic DJ sets. The judges included dancer and choreographer Jeter Pinklady from HBO Max’s Legendary. Also among the judges for the evening were DJ Alexis Tucci, rapper Bates, artist Bobby Phree Williams, Mariah Bodega and Fame Marciano. Photos by Vertrell Yates.
