The second annual Pig and Whiskey Festival happened over the weekend in Maplewood, and despite some serious weather complications (scorching temps Friday, an unexpected storm that forced Saturday evening's cancellation), a great time was had by all.
Headliner Grace Potter even agreed to a new Sunday afternoon time slot after the previous evening's cancellation, wowing the crowd while performing in her own concert T-shirt. As she explained, it was either that or play "in my skivvies" — performing one day later than planned had thrown her for a wardrobe loop.
Held outdoors at Schlafly Bottleworks, the party was sponsored by CBD Kratom and Jack Daniel’s and also included live music from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Everclear, Murphy Lee and Kyjuan in addition to local support from the Vanilla Beans, the School of Rock and more. The free festival had St. Louisans stuffing their faces with tasty BBQ and washing it all down with whiskey and Schlafly beer.
Our photographer Max Bouvatte was there to capture the scene.
